Through our Research Program, Safe Schools NC works toward gaining a comprehensive understanding of bullying, harassment and discrimination in North Carolina schools and evaluating the efficacy of policies, programs, and practices to prevent and remedy this bullying, harassment and discrimination.
During the 2003/2004 school year, Safe Schools NC worked with students involved in the Triangle GSA Network to survey students in their schools about the climate for LGBT youth, or those who are perceived to be. A Safe Schools NC research report was developed from the results of that study.
