Looking for information about LGBTQ people?   Reading books and webpages is a common way for LGBTQ to learn more and feel more connected.  Many bookstores, especially in bigger cities, carry LGBTQ novels and on-line bookstores do as well.  Your local or school library may own copies for check out or reading quietly in a corner of the library.  If not, you may make requests for the librarian to purchase or interlibrary loan these books.  Although you must give your name when making interlibrary loans, many libraries have anonymous ways to request the purchase of specific books.

LGBTQ websites and blogs exist in the thousands.  Some cover political issues, others discuss tv shows, movies and books, and even others provide support for LGBTQ people in difficult situations.  Websites can be a wonderful resource for LGBTQ youth; however, you must also be very cautious.  Also, be very careful on websites that cost money or link people to each other.  Below are some reliable resources that provide support, report current events, and discuss popular culture.
